Two Korean ex-pats meet in Paris by chance encounter. One a petty thief and wannabe artist/painter (Chong-Hae), the other a tough guy (Hong San). Hong San saves Chong-Hae from a gang of thugs and the two become friends. Seizing an opportunity, Chong-Hae and Hong San perform martial arts stunts on the streets for money. A French mobster spots them and recruits the duo as hit men. While in Paris Chong-Hae falls in love with a statue-performer and Hong San yearns for the affections of a local peep-show stripper. After much backstabbing and being caught-up in murder; the duo find themselves at war with their mobster recruiters and each other.

Summary Anti-hero (1999)

A washed-up TV superhero steals an experimental type of synthetic heroin and must find a way to sell the drugs before the local drug lord's hitmen can find him!

Ace Baldwin is a washed-up TV actor who plays sidekick on the Magna Max and Wonderboy show. The disillusioned Ace hangs up his cape at night and prowls the streets, looking to score some drugs to kill the pain he feels inside. Zamphir, his main connection, reveals that he has stolen the only known sample of synthetic heroin from Gunnar, the local crime boss. Zamphir soon turns up dead and Ace steals the heroin from its hiding place and attempts to sell it... Gunnar quickly finds out what Ace is up to and dispatches a team of hitmen, Cosgrove and Hornsby, to kill Ace and reclaim his drugs. This leads to a bloody battle between the costumed "superheroes" and the mafia!

In the series, Beverly is Magna-Max, a super-hero with the ability to wield magnetic forces, and Baldwin is the obligatory side-kick, Wonder Boy. Baldwin is not happy with his second-rate status in the series, nor in his own life, and struggles to overcome his despair. He becomes involved with Zamphir who has stolen the only sample of an experimental and potent type of synthetic heroin from a drug gang. After Arndt is killed by the gang attempting to recover their drug sample, Baldwin takes the sample himself, intending to sell it before the gang catches up with him. In short order he finds that the gang is on his trail. He must quickly find a way to sell the drug and make his escape before the gang's hitmen can find him.
